The bunker
This bunker was built by a civilian in Pernis (a suburb of Rotterdam) during WW2. It was used as an air-raid shelter. Go inside, and experience for yourself what it felt like to have bombs falling all around you. Children only admitted in the presence of an adult.

The cannons
These 17th century ships ‘cannons were caught in fishing nets in the North Sea. They were used on Dutch and English ships. Famous admirals such as Tromp and De Ruyter would have had this sort of weaponry on board.
