“Grienden” were boggy areas such as water meadows where willows grew. The wood was used to make baskets, mats, and fences. Workers in this industry had a very hard life. We have created a water meadow, fed by the windmill next to the dyke. The water is pumped around and around which improves the water quality in all the ditches in Historyland.
