Complete dinosaur skeleton from Asia

The genus name Psittacosaurus is derived from the ancient Greek word psittakos, meaning “parrot.” The name of this parrot-like dinosaur was given because its short, curved beak closely resembles that of a parrot.
The species name mongoliensis refers to the first discovery site of this Cretaceous dinosaur in Mongolia. Between 125 and 110 million years ago, this dinosaur was a common sight. Unlike many dinosaurs, it was not a carnivore but a herbivore.
There are many different species of these “parrot reptiles” from the Cretaceous period. They are characterized by a relatively large head and high snout, a comparatively short tail, and short forelimbs. They may have walked on all fours, but the shorter forelimbs would have made it difficult to push off. It is thought that these were mainly used for grasping.
The weight of an adult was approximately 18 kilograms. The skin was covered in scales, while the back and tail featured strong bristle-like hairs.
